Little Women Video Feature

If anyone actually looks at this blog (I know our mom's do!), you'll be familiar with Torsten Meyer's videos - I think it's a really important and wonderful thing he does, and a great way to see some things that are happening in Brooklyn and Queens that aren't mentioned so much by publications that use the term "Brooklyn Scene" in a way I don't understand.

NEW YEAR'S EVE at ZEBULON.

Tonight we celebrate the END of 2009 (was everything fine?) and the BEGINNING of 2010 (where you been?) with the BIG BAND at ZEBULON.

It's free and will be special, I promise.

A new BIG BAND track gets the UNARTIG treatment on the TUBE of YOU. The gentle side of the Big Band...

If you've never spent hours checking out Torsten's videos, I recommend doing it today if you're at work like me and need some FOOD for the music half of your brain. Right now there's a feature on the amazing EXTRA LIFE, with some words by some super rad people and a zillion videos of Extra Life playing at various spots around the city. If you're gonna go deep I suggest the March 2009 clip from Death By Audio: "See you at the show". It's one of my favorite tracks of theirs - a slow burn of all tension and a flurry of words and melody (is it a melody?), so great.
